Peach Elephant Showpiece Pair, Marble Dust Resin, 8 Inch

Marble dust is blended into the resin before casting, after which each piece is carefully hand-painted and hand-polished. The intricate lattice blanket, beaded headpiece, eyes, pink inner ears, tusks, and silver-tipped anklets are all finished by hand, so slight variations from one pair to another are a natural part of the craftsmanship rather than a defect. A clear lacquer coating is applied over the finished paint to preserve the colour and soft shine. For routine care, simply wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; do not soak the piece or use scouring pads, abrasive products, or bathroom cleaners on the painted surface. In Indian tradition, elephants with their trunks raised are often placed to welcome prosperity and good fortune, making this motif popular at entrances and in mandirs across the country. This is a decorative piece, and no spiritual, financial, health, or other outcome is claimed for it.
